Each and every person in the U.S. is interested in knowing when will all the telecom service providers in the States announce the rolling out of their respective 4G networks. As of now, only a few facts about the upcoming 4G networks are certain. All the major companies like AT&T, Verizon Wireless, T Mobile, Sprint Nextel, etc. are trying to establish their own major 4G networks as soon as possible.
Sprint Nextel:
Sprint has made some early inroads into the 4G market by announcing its own 4G phone, the HTC EVO 4G early this summer. They also have the only existing 4G network in the country.
AT&T:
At present AT&T has the largest 3G network in the country because they are officially tied up with Apple over the iPhone. But there are discussions going on over AT&T not having the iPhone 4G which will be announced later this summer. AT&T has therefore started talks and discussions with other mobile phone sellers like Alcatel-Lucent and Ericsson. AT&T plans to start rolling out its LTE in the beginning of next year.
Verizon Wireless:
On the other hand, Verizon Wireless has already started rolling out its LTE. They plan to cover the entire country by 2013. Verizon also plans to announce its own 4G handsets by mid next year. There is news that Verizon’s 4G network speeds can enable a person to download at a cool speed of up to 6 mbps and upload at a speed of 3 mbps. However, Verizon’s 4G service begins only later this year when it will have successfully set up its network in more than 30 cities across the country.
T Mobile:
When all its competitors are venturing into 4G, T Mobile plans to first set up a successful, up and running 3G network with the new 3.5G technology. Any details as to when it will finally start rolling out its LTE are still unavailable. Reliable sources have, however, mentioned that T Mobile will eventually be venturing into 4G in the not so distant future. They still believe that HSPA and HSPA+ have got a lot of potential to effectively meet all the needs and necessities of the present customers.
